(25 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, Mohamed Abdulkadir Ali, and the Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS), Sharmarke Farah, presented the Bureau’s achievements to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre during a two-year government performance review held in Mogadishu on Saturday night.
At the event, President Mohamud expressed his admiration for the SNBS’s remarkable progress in a short period, commending the agency for its contributions to national development. The President praised the Bureau’s role in improving data collection and analysis, key elements in Somalia’s planning and policy-making processes.
Prime Minister Barre also lauded the Bureau’s efforts, acknowledging its importance in supporting informed government decision-making as the country works towards stability and reform.
