(20-04-23) MOGADISHU – Banadir Regional Police have arrested five officers following a meticulously planned operation at the Aden Adde Internation Airport in the capital city of Mogadishu. The suspects are believed to be part of a larger network engaging in corruption, financial manipulation, and embezzlement within the airport’s financial and public service offices.
The accused individuals have allegedly been involved in tampering with government records and misappropriating funds from work permits. The Attorney General’s Office has taken charge of the case and is currently preparing for the prosecution of the suspects.
In addition to the arrested officers, several other individuals connected to the network are being pursued by the Banadir Regional Police. Authorities are determined to bring all those involved to justice, as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on corruption within the region.
