(20-06-23) MOGADISHU — On Monday, Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye ‘Qorqor’ reached Adado to mark the end of the regional football tournament, which saw participation from various district teams across Galmudug. The team from Abudwak clinched the tournament cup, overcoming the Dhusamareb team in an exciting penalty shootout.
In a festive ceremony at the Adado Presidential House later that evening, President Qorqor presented the championship cup to the triumphant Abudwak team.
Emphasising the role of sports in fostering social interaction, the president expressed his optimism for increased participation from more districts in the annual football tournament.
During his time in Adado, President Qorqor is also scheduled to conduct meetings with several community leaders, focusing on the broader situation in Adado and its neighbouring towns and villages.
