(03-06-23) New York — The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the United Nations, Abukar Osman Baalle, held a meeting with the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Somalia, Ambassador Catriona Laing, in New York on Friday.
According to the Permanent Mission of Somalia to the United Nations, the discussion between the two officials centred on the federal government’s priorities, covering security, politics, the Las Anod conflict, and the ATMIS transition process.
Ambassador Laing recently assumed office following the departure of her predecessor, James Swan.
