(13-06-23) MOGADISHU — On Tuesday, a meeting took place between key figures in Somali national development and a United Nations official. George Conway, the acting Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the United Nations in Somalia, met with the federal government of Somalia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamud Barre.
During their discussion, the duo focused on the priorities set forth in the National Youth Policy. The dialogue between Conway and Mohamud also highlighted their continued collaborative efforts towards implementing the policy and the role the United Nations plays in supporting the youth of Somalia.
This interaction underscores the UN’s ongoing commitment to aiding the Somali government in fostering opportunities for the youth, in line with the National Youth Policy’s directives.
