(03-07-23) DHUSAMAREB – Galmudug’s Acting President and Vice President, Ali Dahir Eid, spearheaded a meeting on Sunday to deliberate on the ‘Vision 2060’ development blueprint, a plan often referred to as the ‘2060 Millennium Vision’ in Dhusamareb, the capital city of Galmudug Federal State of Somalia.
The session, which saw the participation of the Galmudug Cabinet as well as the National Economic Council (NEC), was steered by the Council’s Director General, Hassan Adam Hosow, who also holds the position of Economic Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The assembly underscored the vital role of the Vision 2060 strategy in Somalia’s progress, as well as the preparatory steps needed for its execution. This long-term blueprint for development is expected to significantly transform Somalia, facilitating economic growth, infrastructure development, and social reform.
Vice President Ali Dahir Eid expressed a warm welcome to the Vision 2060 initiative. The Acting President gave assurances that Galmudug, an autonomous federal state in central Somalia, will play an active role in the realisation of Vision 2060. This gesture symbolises Galmudug’s commitment to national development and the prosperity of its people.
