(11-07-23) MOGADISHU – Somalia’s newly appointed Director of the Immigration and Naturalisation Agency, Ahmed Said Mohamed, conducted an inspection tour of the agency’s headquarters on Monday. The visit aimed to observe the seamless operation of these offices in delivering public services.
Among the various departments, Mohamed visited were the visa issuance offices and the Aden Adde International Airport. During his tour, he received briefings from immigration officials to bring him up to speed on the agency’s ongoing services and its overall operational status.
Mohamed was appointed to his new role just last week, succeeding his predecessor, Abdul. Abdul stepped down after being named on a list of government officials accused of corruption. He tendered his resignation while he was out of the country.
