(02-07-23) BEIJING – Somalia’s Ambassador to China, Awale Ali Kullane, attended the opening ceremony of the 11th World Peace Forum (WPF) in Beijing on Sunday. The forum’s guiding principle, “Stabilising an Unstable World Through Consensus and Cooperation,” formed the backdrop for discourses on global stability and collaboration.
Han Zheng, the Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, inaugurated the conference, emphasising a compelling argument about the indispensable role of agreement and cooperation in crafting a stable world order.
Acknowledged as China’s foremost international non-governmental security forum, the World Peace Forum (WPF) is a collaborative effort by Tsinghua University and the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, co-organising the event since its initiation in 2012. With a remit to tackle the challenges and dynamic shifts impacting the global community, the WPF actively promotes dialogue and cultivates trust among all stakeholders. The occasion drew in representatives from a diverse array of nations, international bodies, and the academic community, enabling the fruitful exchange of pragmatic views and opinions.
