(11-07-23) MOGADISHU – Somalia’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, Abshir Omar Jama, welcomed the president of the World Fund for Development and Planning (WFDP), Ambassador Akram El Zaghat, and his delegation in Mogadishu.
The minister hosted the delegate at the VIP section of Aden Adde International Airport. The officials discussed the organisation’s upcoming activities in the country and how they will collaborate with other ministries.
The WFDP will work with the Somali government to boost investment, undertake initiatives that will develop skills for youth, particularly women, and offer humanitarian aid to the country as well.
On June 15, the cabinet approved the World Fund for Development and Planning (WFDP) to work in Somalia, and the WFDP would have its headquarters in Mogadishu. They already have a presence in Nairobi.
