(14-08-23) MOGADISHU – Mayor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) of Mogadishu and Banadir Region Governor has commenced a vital urban development initiative with the laying of the foundation stone for a new road linking Suuq Baad and General Daoud streets in Yaqshid District on Monday.
The project is a cornerstone of the ‘Build Your Country with One Dollar’ program, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the Yaqshid District Administration, local community, and Banadir Regional Administration.
The ceremony underlined a shared commitment to bolster economic growth through enhanced urban infrastructure, starting by prioritising crucial road networks. Mayor Madaale and the Banadir Region Governor reaffirmed their dedication to advancing Mogadishu’s infrastructure during the event.
“As we embark on the ‘Build Your Country with One Dollar’ project, our immediate emphasis is on enhancing Mogadishu’s infrastructure. The development of roadways takes precedence,” emphasised Mayor Madaale.
