(19/08/23) MOGADISHU – On Saturday, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, along with his deputies, chaired a session of the Upper House Council. The session’s agenda covered conducting the first reading of the General Auditor’s Bill.
Abdiqafar Ilmi Hange, Deputy Minister of Finance, offered an overview of the National Treasury Bill to the Upper House Senate, emphasising its provisions and significance.
Following the session’s conclusion, Chairman Abdi Hashi instructed the Upper House Finance Committee to review the National Auditor General’s Office Bill thoroughly. The committee was tasked with fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities and reintroducing the revised bill during the House’s upcoming general session.
