UN-backed workshop enhances election reporting skills in Baidoa 

(20-09-23) MOGADISHU —  A three-day workshop focusing on election reporting was held in Baidoa, the administrative capital of South West State, with support from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM).   

The programme, attended by journalists from the state’s media outlets, underscored the importance of accurate and impartial coverage. Participants also delved into the role of the media in fostering constructive debates during election periods.   

UNSOM has recently increased its support for Somali journalists working in the country, aiding workshops aiming to improve the essential skills of media practitioners in the country.
