(01-11-23) JOWHAR — Hirshabelle President Ali Hussein Gudlawe welcomed the newly elected Mayor of Jowhar, the administrative capital of HirShabelle State, along with his deputy and members of the local council, at the presidential palace. President Hussein expressed his approval of the recent local council elections conducted in the Jowhar district, during which the mayor and his two deputies were elected.
He extended his congratulations to all officials who were successfully elected and voiced his support for the democratic electoral process that unfolded in the city.
Jowhar has recently established a local council after 30 years, highlighting the HirShabelle State government’s commitment to finalising and instituting administrative structures across all districts in the state.
