(26-12-23) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Somali National Army carried out a planned operation on Monday in areas near Goofgaduud Burey in the Bay region. The operation was led by the Commander of the 47th Unit of the 8th Brigade, 60th Division of the Somali National Army, Ahmed Mohamednur ‘Ahmed Dhagey’.
The operation targeted the localities of Saydheelow, Habxirow, Buurta Qod’qode, Calamka, Warta Dollar, and Weeley. These areas were known as registration points for the militia members of extremist groups and as sites where extortion money was collected from civilians using the roads in the Bay and Bakool regions.
