(20-12-23) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The federal government has officially become a member of the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS). Representing the federal government to the Benelux nations and the European Union, Ambassador Yonis Yasin Hashi formalised the country’s accession to the agreement in a ceremony at the OACPS headquarters in Brussels.
Termed “The Samoa Agreement,” the pact is set to establish a detailed legal framework governing the relationship between the OACPS and the European Union.
Under this agreement, the two entities are committed to working together on key areas including peace and security, social harmony, economic development, human rights, and inclusive, sustainable progress.
