(14-01-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud warmly received the diplomatic credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of India, Japan, the Czech Republic, and the Arab League, signalling a strengthened partnership with these nations.
The new envoys, Ms. Namgya Choden of India, Mr. Okaniwa Ken from Japan, Miroslav Kosek of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Abdullahi Mutlaq Al Otabi representing the Arab League, were welcomed in Mogadishu. Each ambassador conveyed messages from their respective country’s leaders, affirming a commitment to enhancing the longstanding ties with Somalia.
During the discussions, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and the ambassadors delved into various aspects of strengthening diplomatic relations and cooperation. The talks underscored Somalia’s strategic role in international politics and its efforts to forge robust partnerships.
The president emphasised the importance of international support in aiding the Somali government and its people to achieve success in governance and national development. He highlighted Somalia’s commitment to working closely with its global partners.
