(27-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Jubaland’s Security Minister, General Yussuf Hussein Dhumal, on Monday visited El Wak district, Gedo region. General Dhumal’s visit was to oversee the town’s overall security and to engage with local army recruits who have recently concluded their training programmes.
In an address to the newly trained recruits, who are scheduled to be equipped shortly by the Jubaland administration, General Dhumal affirmed that they are prepared to receive their equipment and assume their roles under the Jubaland administration.
General Dhumal urged the soldiers to apply their newly acquired skills with diligence and be willing to sacrifice their lives in defence of their region and its people. The Jubaland security minister was receive Jubaland Military Commander for the Gedo region, General Abbas Gurey, along with other senior military officials.
