(27-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre of the Federal Republic of Somalia expressed his gratitude towards the outgoing Turkish Ambassador, Mr Ibrahim Mete. Yagli, for his significant contributions to enhancing the relationship between Somalia and Turkey during a farewell meeting on Monday.
In a heartfelt exchange, Prime Minister Barre praised Ambassador Yagli for his efforts in strengthening the ties between the two nations, which are often described as brotherly due to their close cooperation and mutual support.
Ambassador Yagli, appointed in January 2023, is departing after a successful tenure in Somalia, reflected positively on his time in office, appreciating the consistent support from both the Somali government and its people. He highlighted the strong collaborative spirit that marked his mission in the country.
