(07-02-24) BOSASO (Halqabsi News) — An IED explosion was reported in the Bari regional capital, Bossaso, leading to several casualties. The attack reportedly targeted the vehicle of the Puntland Police Chief for Armo District, Colonel Ahmed Koboc. Initial reports indicate that the police commander, along with some members of his security detail, sustained injuries in the explosion as they were passing the Ex Control Bossaso checkpoint.
Eyewitness accounts have highlighted that several civilians in the vicinity were also wounded in the incident. As of now, the Bari regional security agencies have not commented on the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the violent act.
