(20-02-24) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) —Puntland Ministry of Livestock has temporarily suspended the livestock treatment programme. In a brief statement, Livestock Minister, Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed ‘Libahle’ communicated the pause of the livestock treatment campaign across Puntland’s regions.
“Puntland Minister of Livestock, Mr Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed ‘Libahle, has temporarily halted the livestock treatment activities, a cooperative project between the Ministry of Livestock and the FAO, pending the formation of the new government by President Said Abdullahi Deni,” the statement read.
Minister Libahle explained that the suspension of the livestock treatment efforts will remain in effect until President Deni completes the formation of the new government.
The programme was a collaborative effort between the Puntland Ministry of Livestock and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). Initially planned to be implemented across all Puntland regions, the livestock treatment drive was scheduled to last for 30 days.
