(14-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Somali National Army (SNA), alongside local community forces, have carried out additional operations in the territories of Ali Andhole, Sheikh Abdullahi, and Baraag Haji Dhagah in the eastern part of Galgaduud region in central Somalia.
During the operation, the combined forces detected and neutralised IEDs planted by Al-Shabaab militants to harm the army and the local people. Additionally, they destroyed various hideouts used by these terrorists as sanctuaries.
Colonel Mohamed Dhagaweyne, commander of the 24th Brigade Khalid Bin Walid, reiterated pledges to sustain the war against Al-Shabaab, with the support of local forces and international partners.
The operation came amid an increased military operations targeting Al-Shabaab elements in the Galgaduud region.
