(28-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) —The Somali government has allocated a plot of land within the Aden Adde International Airport complex to the Chinese embassy in Mogadishu, aiming to facilitate the expansion of embassy premises. Somalia’s Minister for Civil Aviation, Fardowsa Osman Egal, officially handed over the land to Chen Wendi, the acting ambassador of China, noting that this gesture reinforces the longstanding diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Minister Egal underscored that the expanded embassy would enhance services for the public, streamlining visa processing and boosting trade facilitation.
Acting Ambassador Chen Wendi expressed gratitude, affirming that the additional land will help scale up the embassy’s functions and foster bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries.
