(13-03-24) KISMAYO (Halqabsi News) — Jubaland security forces on Tuesday detained Hassan Ibrahim, a driver accused of being a member of a group of three men who had escaped with and later sold a Hardtop Cruiser belonging to the Jubaland administration to the militant group Al-Shabaab. The arrest in Dhobley was confirmed by the Jubaland security ministry.
Two other suspects implicated in the same incident were arrested in a collaboration between NISA and Jubaland security agencies in Mogadishu late last year. They have since been flown to Kismayo, where they remain under custody. The arrests signal improved inter-agency cooperation in combating illicit trade and aiding militant activities.
