A swift operation by the Somali Police Force led to the arrest of a group of thieves involved in a mobile phone robbery in Mogadishu’s Heliwaa district. At approximately 7 am on Sunday morning, several citizens were robbed of their mobile phones, prompting immediate action after the victims reported the incident to the emergency response centre using the direct hotline 991.
According to a police statement, the response centre quickly coordinated with officers at the Heliwaa Police Station, leading to the prompt tracking and arrest of the thieves, along with the recovery of a motorcycle used in the attack. The suspects are currently detained at the Heliwaa Police Station, awaiting further investigation and subsequent trial.
