The Somali National Army’s 86th Battalion of the 77th Brigade in the central region has seized a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle transporting weapons and other supplies intended for Al-Shabaab militants.
The army, acting on intelligence about the vehicle heading towards areas under Al-Shabaab control, intercepted it in the Marya-Suley area near the border between the Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle regions.
In recent days, the army has been conducting extensive clearance operations in the areas bordering the Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud regions, disrupting Al-Shabaab’s movement of supplies.
