Somalia’s Internal Security Minister, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartag, and the Vice President of Galmudug, Ali Dahir Eid, have concluded a key consultation meeting in Dhusamareb focused on enhancing national security.
The two-day discussions covered a range of topics, including the Joint Police Project (JPP-2), the Somali Police Law, strategic internal security plans, and the ATMIS drawdown. Minister Fartag highlighted the significance of the deliberations for the nation’s security and peace.
Vice President Ali Eid commended the success of the gathering, pointing out Galmudug’s key role in combating extremist factions. The meeting also saw contributions from the Deputy Commander of the Somali Police and regional security ministers, who explored various collaborative initiatives to bolster national security.
