Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Monday paid a visit to one of Mogadishu’s newest districts, Daru Salam, where he spent time with hundreds of people from various districts of the Banadir region celebrating day two of Eid ul-Adha.
PM Barre commended the progress, beauty, and security present in Daru Salam, encouraging the community and businesspeople to continue their efforts in developing the capital and the country as a whole. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the business community in achieving progress and said he would work with them to create new business and investment opportunities.
“I urge all Somali businesspeople to stand up for their country’s development and invest in it, as the country is at peace and there are investment opportunities that lead to economic growth and job creation, making the country prosperous,” he said.
