SNA Ground Forces Commander Brigadier General Dayah Abdi Abdulle arrived in Mesagaway district, Galgaduud region, touring army barracks of the 77th Battalion. Speaking at the army base, Brigadier General Dayah lauded the army members for dealing consecutive defeats to Al-Shabaab in recent military operations in the Galgaduud region, noting lessons learned from Al-Shabaab’s outdated routine tactics of assaulting army bases.
He instructed the army to remain vigilant at all times, for junior officers to abide by their seniors, and to sustain their efforts in dealing defeats to the militant group. He expressed hope that increased military activities across several regions would further undermine Al-Shabaab.
The SNA Ground Forces Commander paid a visit to Eldheer district, Galgaduud region, to personally congratulate joint SNA and local forces who successfully repulsed an Al-Shabaab attack on the town, resulting in mass Al-Shabaab casualties as a result of the resistance from the army, supported by the local forces.
