(08-07-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Secretaries of both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia and the UNICEF Representative in Somalia signed a cooperation agreement on Monday.
The agreement, signed by Parliamentary Secretaries Abdinasir Ibrahim Guled and Abdirahman Mahmoud Jabiri, along with UNICEF Representative Wafaa Saeed, aims to strengthen the capacity of parliamentary staff and foster collaboration with Senators and Members of the House of the People.
The partnership will focus on key areas such as enhancing understanding of oversight and accountability mechanisms, promoting sustainable solutions for children’s issues, and driving broader social development initiatives. By working together, the parliament and UNICEF seek to create a more protective and supportive environment for children in Somalia.
