(22-07-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – On Monday, Galmudug leader Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor held a meeting with the US Ambassador to Somalia, Richard H. Riley, in Mogadishu. According to President Qoorqoor, the meeting focused on the overall security situation in Galmudug and the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab.
The US Ambassador noted that he had a productive discussion with President Qoorqoor and reaffirmed the US’s support for Somalia in its efforts to defeat Al-Shabaab. President Qoorqoor has been in Mogadishu recently for meetings with international partners over the situation in his region’s war against Al-Shabaab.
