(24-07-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Nine Al-Shabaab militants were killed in an operation near Huddur, the regional capital of Bakol. The Somali National Army’s (SNA) 9th Battalion of the 60th Division conducted the operation targeting Al-Shabaab fighters in Abaqbeday area, approximately 20 km south of Huddur town.
SNA sources reported that, in addition to the militant casualties, security forces confiscated three AK-47 rifles and one PKM machine gun from the defeated militants.
South West Security Minister Hassan Abdulkadir praised the SNA for the successful operation. The operation follows a recent defeat of Al-Shabaab group at the hands of joint SNA and Jubaland forces in Lower Juba region of Jubaland State.
