(19-07-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Somali National Army has dealt a significant blow to Al-Shabaab in the Middle Shabelle region, neutralising 15 militants and destroying their bases in targeted operations on Friday.
The Ministry of Defence reported successful engagements in the villages of Ceelbacad, Gacal-Ugaas, and Murcudka, where weapons and logistical supplies were also seized from the terrorist group.
The SNA is currently pursuing the remaining Al-Shabaab fighters who fled the area. This operation marks another victory in the ongoing offensive against the extremist group, which resumed with renewed vigour in March this year.
