(07 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia, chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, held an emergency meeting on Tuesday evening to discuss the recent Al-Shabaab attack at Mogadishu’s Lido Beach area.
The Council announced that the government has allocated half a million dollars to be given to those affected by the terrorist attack. Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has also donated his salary for this month to aid the victims, and all members of the Council of Ministers have also contributed a portion of their salaries.
The fund is intended to support the injured and help rebuild the lives of those affected by the brutal attack on innocent civilians. Meanwhile, the government has affirmed it has taken extra steps to ensure public security.
