(23 Sep 2024) BOSASO (Halqabsi News) – The situation in Bosaso is calm this Monday morning, following last night’s heightened security patrols by the Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF). The forces were deployed to the city’s main roads and key junctions, raising local concerns. However, the Bari Regional Police Command has reassured residents, confirming there were no security issues, and that the forces were carrying out their routine duties of maintaining safety and security.
The police also dismissed rumours of any rival forces facing off in Bosaso and urged residents to stay calm and cooperate with the security personnel.
“There is no tension in Bosaso. The security forces are simply conducting their normal patrols and searches to ensure security,” the Command stated. They also warned against the spread of misinformation, calling on the people of Bosaso to remain calm and continue to work with the security forces.
