(10 Sep 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah ‘Beenebeene’, has launched the National Transformation Plan (NTP: 2025-2029) consultations in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug. The four-day workshop brings together senior officials from across the region to discuss key pillars of development.
The participants will discuss a range of issues, including transformational governance, sustainable economic development, social and human capital transformation, and climate resilience. These areas are considered crucial to setting a clear direction for Galmudug’s growth, identifying sectoral strengths, challenges, and opportunities, and outlining strategies for the next five years.
The workshop will seek to create a roadmap to guide the region’s development and contribute to Somalia’s national progress. Consultations for the National Transformation Plan will continue across Somalia’s federal member states in the coming weeks.
