(17 Sep 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Federal Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Daud Aweis Jama briefed the Committee for Social Services, Humanitarian Affairs, Information, and Culture of Somalia’s Upper House of Parliament on Tuesday. He was joined by Deputy Minister Abdirahman Al-Addala and senior officials from his ministry, sharing key updates from the past two years.
The briefing highlighted progress made in the country’s media, cultural heritage, and tourism sectors. The minister also outlined upcoming plans to strengthen these areas while discussing ongoing efforts to counter extremist ideologies and promote awareness.
During the meeting, the Minister thanked Senator Osman Mohamud Mohamed Dufle, Chairman of the Committee, for his support and positive feedback on the ministry’s achievements. The committee commended the ministry’s work and acknowledged its contributions to national development.
