(04 Sep 2024) BEIJING (Halqabsi News) – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday met the President of the Presidential Council of Libya, Mohamed Yunus al-Menfi, on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit in Beijing.
Their discussions centred on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring collaborative opportunities across various sectors to benefit their nations. They also addressed recent developments in Africa and other significant matters. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud commended President Al-Manafi for his support of the Federal Government of Somalia’s efforts against the Al-Shabaab militant group.
Since arriving in Beijing on Tuesday, the Somali President has been holding sideline meetings with some of the leaders attending the China-Africa Summit.
