(24 Sep 2024) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) – Puntland’s President, Said Abdullahi Deni, has announced that the regional state is prepared to engage in talks with the Federal Government of Somalia to resolve the ongoing disputes between the two sides.

Speaking at an event last night, President Deni reaffirmed Puntland’s commitment to an open and transparent dialogue, stating, “Puntland is ready for discussions in a public forum, not behind closed doors. If we are in the wrong, we are willing to accept correction; if we are right, we seek support.”

He also highlighted Puntland’s readiness to invest intellectually and financially to unite the Somali people and find lasting solutions to the country’s challenges. “Puntland is committed to contributing knowledge, expertise, and resources to the unification of Somalia,” Deni added.

The President made his remarks during a dinner he hosted for participants of this year’s Puntland Development Research Center (PDRC) peace forum.
