(03 Mar 2025) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Commissioner of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, welcomed high-ranking Egyptian officials to his office for security dialogue aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the closed-door meeting, both sides zeroed in on key areas, including strengthening security ties, upgrading police training programmes, and enhancing crime-fighting collaboration. The discussions also underscored Egypt’s steadfast support for Somalia’s law enforcement efforts, particularly in capacity-building and countering organised crime.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to stepping up joint initiatives, ensuring that Egypt’s assistance continues to equip Somali police officers with the skills and expertise needed to tackle security challenges head-on.
