Somali Police Commissioner Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi on Wednesday convened a meeting with officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to fast-track operational reforms and enhance service delivery.
The engagement centered on the continuous restructuring of the CID, particularly addressing public complaints concerning procedural shortcomings. Commissioner Asad emphasised accountability, and urged for updates on remedial actions taken in response to grievances raised by segments of the public.
The session forms part of a series of regular performance reviews initiated by the police chief as part of his commitment to reform, professionalism, and institutional transparency, pledges made upon assuming office.
