The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Wednesday arrived in Djibouti City, the capital of the Republic of Djibouti, where he is set to hold talks with his counterpart, His Excellency President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh.
The president’s visit comes just days after he extended an olive branch to the opposition and unveiled plans to convene a consultative meeting on the country’s political and security landscape.
During the meeting, the two heads of state will deliberate on bolstering the longstanding ties and strategic cooperation between the two nations, with a focus on security, economic collaboration, political affairs, and efforts to strengthen regional stability.
