(25 Dec 2024) HARGEISA (Halqabsi News) — Abdirahman Mohamed Irro, the newly elected President of Somaliland, has named Jama Mohamoud Egal as the Director General of the Somaliland Intelligence Agency. The announcement was made today through a presidential decree.
In a statement issued by the president’s office, Jama Mohamoud Egal was praised for his extensive knowledge, skills, and professional experience, which were key factors in his appointment.
“I have decided that Jama Mohamoud Egal Mohamed will be the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Somaliland from today’s date,” the decree stated.
This decision is part of President Irro’s ongoing efforts to build his administration and strengthen key institutions in Somaliland. The move comes amid a series of reforms and appointments aimed at shaping the government under his leadership.
