(25 Dec 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Mogadishu Mayor and Banadir Region Governor Mohamed Ahmed Amir has unveiled a series of ambitious plans aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure during a high-level meeting with officials.
The session focused on key development projects, including road construction, solutions for managing rainwater drainage, and the rehabilitation of public facilities. Deputy Governor for Public Works, Hassan Mohamed Jimaale, attended the meeting and provided updates on the progress of ongoing initiatives.
Mayor Amir urged leaders and staff of the Public Works Department to approach their duties with integrity and transparency. He stressed that rigorous monitoring and accountability measures would be implemented to ensure the successful delivery of these critical projects.
The mayor’s push for infrastructure development is part of broader efforts to address Mogadishu’s urban challenges and improve living conditions for its residents.
