(31-05-23) MOGADISHU — Mogadishu’s Mayor and Banadir Regional Administration Governor, Yusuf Hussein Jimale, held a meeting at the Mogadishu Municipality Headquarters with commanders spearheading the capital’s stabilisation efforts, primarily from the military police.
Accompanied by the Deputy Mayor in charge of security and politics, Mohamed Ahmed Dirie, and the Secretary General of the Banadir Regional Administration, Faisal Arrale Afrah, the meeting attendees received briefings from the security chiefs. The briefings outlined the latest security updates for the capital and provided progress reports on various security operations in specific districts.
Mayor Jimale commended the stabilisation forces for their ongoing readiness and vigilance in ensuring the security and safety of Mogadishu’s residents. He applauded their efforts in preemptively addressing security threats, as well as their enhancing engagement with local residents, fostering a stronger sense of security within the capital.
