(26-06-23) MOGADISHU — The newly appointed Governor of Hiiraan, yet to officially take over from his predecessor Abdullahi Ahmed Maalin ‘Surufow’, presided over an essential security meeting with Hiiraan’s Deputy Governors, Secretaries, some District Commissioners and security officials in Beledweyne on Monday. The meeting focused on the region’s overall situation and exploring ways to strengthen its security and progress.
Throughout the meeting, the Governor absorbed briefs from the attendees, highlighting the crucial role of security and stability in the region. Assuring a commitment towards fostering transparent and consensus-driven politics, he pledged that his forthcoming administration would enhance the Hiiraan region’s administrative accountability, including regional politics.
