(08-07-23) MOGADISHU – The Al-Shabaab militant group suffered losses in an attack in Hiran’s Buula-barde district on early Saturday. Local liberation Macawiseley forces, initiated the offensive, targeting a suspected Al-Shabaab assembly area in Beera Yabal.
According to military sources, the intense night-time clash resulted in at least five Al-Shabaab casualties and the liberation forces seizing control of the contested territory. The aftermath of the heavy fighting reveals substantial damage, the extent of which is yet to be fully assessed.
Tensions remain high in the region, and as of now, Al-Shabaab has made no official comment regarding the incident. The international community and humanitarian organisations are on high alert, closely monitoring the escalating situation.
