(15/08/23) MOGADISHU – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, welcomed the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Somalia on Tuesday, Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaithi, to his office. The meeting focused on crucial matters aimed at enhancing the relationship and cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Hamsa expressed his sincere gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for their steadfast support of Somalia. He particularly emphasised the UAE’s assistance in critical areas such as security and humanitarian efforts. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of this support in advancing the nation’s welfare and stability.
Ambassador Al-Rumaithi, in turn, lauded the Somali Government for its unwavering dedication to eradicating the menace of the Al-Shabaab terrorist groups. He commended Somalia’s robust endeavours in bolstering its economy, ensuring transparency, and combating corruption. The Ambassador acknowledged that these efforts not only benefit Somalia but also contribute to regional stability.
