(26-09-23) MOGADISHU — The Ministry of Labour and Social Services in Somalia issued a directive on Monday, announcing a public holiday on September 27, Wednesday (12 Rabi Al Awwal 1445H), in commemoration of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
As a result, all government employees are granted the day off in celebration and veneration of the Prophet’s birth, in accordance with the Labour Code. The ministry extends its congratulations to all Somali civil servants and the Somali populace on this auspicious occasion.
