(11-10-23) KISMAYO — The Jubbaland Intelligence and Security Agency (JISA) has successfully apprehended Abdifatah Nur Abdullahi and Hassan Abdullahi Mohamed, also known as Hassan Qooqaani. Earlier this year, the duo stole a Landcruiser Hardtop vehicle owned by the Jubbaland Ministry of Water and Energy. At least one of the men reportedly worked for the Ministry as a driver. They later handed over the stolen vehicle to the Al-Shabaab leader in Jilib District, Abu Abdalla.
Having been under close surveillance by JISA, the pair were captured shortly after they covertly entered Mogadishu. Subsequently, they were repatriated to Kismayo where they will stand trial for their action.
