(17-10-23) MOGADISHU — Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur ‘Madobe’, Speaker of the House of the People, arrived back in Somalia on Tuesday after an official visit to Italy. While in Rome, Speaker Madobe and his delegation engaged in discussions with their Italian Parliament counterparts, including Speaker Lorenzo Fontana. The talks revolved around enhancing collaboration between the two legislative bodies.
In a gesture of continued partnership, Speaker Madobe extended an invitation to Speaker Fontana to visit Somalia. The invitation was warmly accepted by the Italian Speaker. Historically, Somalia and Italy have maintained robust diplomatic relations.
